Wellpad Facilities

Uintah Basin - Standard Well Pad Facility Design

KAHUNA USA helped a Uintah Basin producer analyze, debottleneck, and update an aging Salt Water Disposal system (SWD), including an extensive gathering system with multiple booster stations and injection wells. KAHUNA USA engineers collected all pipeline design and operational data, built a multi-scenario hydraulic model to match existing conditions, and implemented system upgrades to ensure the SWD Gathering and Injection System could handle the newly produced water volumes coming online.

DJ Basin Vent System Design and Study

KAHUNA USA was asked to assist a D-J Basin producer in analyzing and producing the necessary documentation to meet Colorado Reg 7 vent system requirements. Engineers were responsible for collecting all facility information, including well-pad capacities, control valve specifications, API 12F Tank data, vent system piping sizes and dimensions, and VRU/Combustor throughput limits. After collecting all data, a template ProMax model was developed to quickly and efficiently analyze the instantaneous flow rates generated at the individual well-pad facilities. Engineered solutions were implemented to ensure no unintended venting events at these facilities, and all necessary documentation was completed for this project.
